The World-wide User Liaison Forum

About WULF

WULF is the World-wide User Liaison Forum for AVEVA products. It is a relatively new organisation designed to pull together input from all the various local user group organisations. It was first proposed to users at a PRUG conference in Prague in 1999.

• Inputs from local / language groups may be harmonized and co-ordinated by a continental group via a technical committee.
• The technical committees propose suitable (see below) development projects with clearly defined requirements and resulting business benefit.
• The European, American and the Asia Pacific regions identify representatives for the WULF executive committee that meets once or twice a year.
• WULF has a business focus although local groups may retain a technical focus.
• WULF selects a small number of development projects, with assistance from AVEVA, on the basis of best value for the user base as a whole.
• After evaluation, AVEVA sets out a target development schedule.
• The projects are monitored by WULF via a sponsor and representatives in each region.

WULF Executive Committee Members (Regional and Industry Representatives)

The WULF executive committee takes input from all the groups around the world and agrees with AVEVA the relative priorities on the basis of business value. It draws its members from the major regions (see diagram above), currently on the basis of 2 members representing the Americas, 2 from Europe and 2 from the Asia Pacific region.

In addition, further members are selected from different industries to ensure a representative view.
